Keep It Yours Records realizza un nuovo vinile 7" con The Babies (Vivian Girls + Woods) e His Clancyness.

Roma, 3 Dicembre 2011: L'etichetta discografica indipendente Keep It Yours Records presenta il suo nuovo singolo in vinile 7’’. Sul lato A, direttamente da Brooklyn, The Babies con Here Comes Troubles.
Sul lato AA l’amico e collega Jonathan Clancy (A Classic Education) con Ottawa Backfired Soon.

THE BABIES 
Il progetto di Kevin Morby dei Woods e di Cassie Ramone delle Vivian Girls,è nato quasi tre anni fa: mentre i due abitavano nello stesso appartamento, ne hanno approfittato per scrivere alcune canzoni insieme, utilizzandolo questo metodo quasi come un passatempo estivo. Insieme al batterista Justin Sullivan dei Bossy e a bassista Nathaneal Stark hanno registrato vari pezzi e tenuto alcuni concerti, e alla fine hanno dato alla luce il loro primo album su Shrimper, storica etichetta per il lo-fi americano. In occasione della data romana, Cassie e Kevin saranno ospiti dell’etichetta discografica: prima del concerto al club Le Mura, la band si esibirà in uno show acustico – gratuito su invito - nella galleria d’arte contemporanea Ugo Ferranti (via de' Soldati 25/A, Roma). La festa finirà al Vicious Club (via Achille Grandi 7/A) con un afterparty.
Invitati speciali i membri della band, in Italia per promuovere il loro primo album.


HIS CLANCYNESS - rappresentato sul lato AA del disco di Keep It Yours Records, è Jonathan Clancy, ragazzo di Ottawa accasato a Bologna. La sua musica è stata definita "pop sognante, marinato nel riverbero", un giro veloceattraverso 50 anni di western pop e cultura psych.
Le sue canzoni sono passate di mano in mano attraverso blog e siti come Gorilla Vs Bear, Pitchfork, The Fader, Transparent, MBV, Pinglewood, Brooklyn Vegan e l'ultima uscita è stata inserita nella lista dei migliori EP del 2010 dal sito Altered Zones.
His Clancyness ha portato la sua musica dal vivo in Italia, Uk e Stati Uniti condividendo il palco con Women, Casiotone For The Painfully Alone, Cloud Nothings, Handsome Furs, The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart,Akron/Family, Veronica Falls e Pure Ecstasy.
Il suo singolo Summer Majestic, tradotto in immagini dal videomaker Jamie Harley, è stato scelto dalla rivista RollingStone come uno dei migliori della stagione passata. Freight Trains è uscito il 21 Aprile 2011 in esclusiva per la labelitaliana Keep It Yours Records (Compilation Vol.1), che ha presentato sul palco di Villa Medici insieme aiMetronomy.
